Liability – Civil, Public, & Employers
Adventure Café carries insurances to conduct its business, and to indemnify itself against any claims that (we hope will not) arise. But in case they do – we are covered on an annual basis. This policy allows us to provide adventurous activities, in the UK and further afield. We are covered to a limit of £2million.
Tour Operator Insurance Policy:
This component of our policy covers us for the act of packaging together a tour – using services from time to time provided by third parties (such as accommodation, transportation sevices, activities etc). We are fully covered in this respect – to a limit of £2 million with regard to Public and Products Insurance.
Package Travel Regulations (Payments Protection):
All payments made in advance in relation to a package travel challenge are protected through our TOPP Policy which is provided by Travel and General Insurance of London. This ensures that even in the unexpected and unlikely event of Adventure Café becoming insolvent – your payments (whether a charity, a corporate team or an individual) – are all covered – and would be returned to you. This is a legal requirement under the package travel Regulations of 1992.
Personal Protection Insurance (Hospitalisation/Loss of Earnings):
In order to participate in overseas events, you MUST carry personal insurance. When travelling to Europe we strongly recommend carrying a EHIC card (European Health Insurance Card) – which is the up to date version of the old E111 form.
Adventure Café does not currently directly sell another company’s insurance – but we do currently recommend Ventureguard – who offer a good range of travel insurance covering adventurous challenge activities. Their arrangement system for policies is simple and easy to follow. Just follow the link below:
