Fitness RequirementsOverview of Required Fitness Levels for Adventure Café TreksSo, you're wondering just how tough these challenges are, and whether you are going to be up to the task? You will notice that there is a five star system - starting from 1 (easy) going up to 5 (hard). Half stars indicate that the event is a bit harder than the normal star rating, but not as hard as the next star rating. Beneath each star level rating we have set out two key headings, one which describes what the event is likely to be like, and the other describes typical fitness levels. Please, if you are uncertain in any way – please call us or email us to discuss. Please note that these fitness levels are for guidance – if you are fitter than described, you will find the event easier, and if you are less fit you may still be able to take part – but you will find it extra hard! There are differing descriptions for treks and cycle rides. Within each of these are differing levels of intensity for treks, depending upon whether the trek is in the UK/Europe (more comfortable) or a developing country (harder). We recognise that events spread over a longer period, will by their nature be more arduous, due to being out in the wilds and away from creature comforts.
